ラッセル英会話教室では、子供から大人まで、初心者から上級まで

生徒それぞれの目的に会わせて楽しく効果的なレッスンを提供しています。

英語を身につけて頂けるレッスン内容となっています。

本英会話スクールでは、「コミュニケーション能力を高める」ということを第一に目標に掲げています。

学校の入学試験や就職活動では試験の点数を必要とされがちですが、

外国語の本当の価値と楽しみは異文化の人々とコミュニケーションをとることです。

初心者のかたには丁寧に英語の基本文法などを中心に学んで頂き、

中級以降のかたにはコミュニケーション能力を高めるという目的に従い、

会話を中心にバランスよく学びます。

Teaching emotions to my beginner students using one my favorite teaching tools: the suction cup (a.k.a., "sticky") ball! All the students take turns asking "How are you?" and throwing the ball at one of the emotions drawn the blackboard for answers. It's fast pace, fun, and pretty effective! Plus, my students love it. To add an extra level of fun, I sometimes assign numerical values to each of the emotions and have them play the game like darts.

In this photograph, we are reviewing vocabulary in our textbooks. This month's theme is professions. The professions in this unit are pretty eclectic. Among the new words they've learned are doctor, firefighter, chef, carpenter, police officer, and JUGULAR--go figure. However, the unit does have a pretty catchy song called "I Wanna Be a Jugular," in which a child sings about, you guessed it, his dream of becoming a jugular while all of the other kids choose more "conventional" career paths.

After reviewing the unit, I asked each of my students what they wanted to be, and one said she wants to be a teacher. Brownie points achieved!
